Outdoor Greens (April to September)
Having two immaculately kept bowling greens maintained by a
group of dedicated volunteer members, (Mostly on a Monday morning)
Volunteers always welcome to help. This enables social (rollup) bowling to take place alongside competitive league bowling on a daily basis.
Roll-up's are held daily except on Sundays between the hours of
14.00pm & 16.00pm. This is a friendly relaxed way of meeting
other club members and learning the sport.
One-day and season long internal club competitions take place
throughout the summer months.
Friendly match fixtures (When available) with other club provide
for bowlers who want a less competitive arena than league
fixtures, but with more edge than the roll-ups.
Cottingham participates in a variety of leagues and cups, some
matches are played in the evening and others at weekends.
Activities led by the ladies of the club include a variety of social
functions such as coffee mornings and social evenings in the
pavilion. The ladies take part, with great success in several ladies
only bowls leagues, as well as the mixed bowls leagues where
they compete on an equal footing to their male counterparts
